WPJA Award Winning Photography

I’m really happy to announce I’ve placed in another WPJA contest, and at the same time sad to announce this will be the last image of mine that wins anything over there. Though I’ve thoroughly enjoyed entering contests and the way it pushes me to make better images, I get that same push from ISPWP now. And WPJA as an advertising outlet has not been very successful for Turn Loose the Art in the past couple years. It is kind of nice to go out with a winning image though!

Saa.n.She for Shehnaai Couture Fashion Shoot

We spent a chilly day in Newport on the Hudson this past Tuesday shooting Sabah’s new line SaanShe for Shehnaai Studio. I believe they’re on display and Shehnaai Studio is having an event today to launch Bridal Couture 2010!

Travel + Availability

Joe and I are thrilled to be heading off to Las Vegas for WPPI this week! Among other things we’ll be learning with the best of the best and seeing what’s coming for the photography industry. After that we’ll be in California for a few shoots, then heading out to Massachusetts for a week of much-needed vacation.

Las Vegas – Thursday, March 4 till Wednesday, March 10

California – March 10 till Saturday, March 13

Massachusetts – March 14-21 (during this week we really are vacationing! So please allow delays in reaching us.)

Dan + Jordyn: Engagement Shoot

After a few weather reschedules, we finally successfully shot Jordyn and Dan’s engagement shoot! Other than being very cool people and sporting matching iPhones like us, they really were troopers in the icy wind on a wintry New York afternoon. We met up for brunch in the Meatpacking District, then walked around the area’s cobblestone streets and hit the High Line later.

We’re excited to be making up a guestbook for them with these images!

The Latest ISPWP Winning Images

What a great Monday morning present and excellent start to the week! As I (Britney) was making my morning tea latte, Joe called me over to check out the latest ISPWP Winter ‘09 contest results. Joe and I each received a high placing award this quarter!

When I took this image, I knew it was going to be a great capture instantly. Sometimes you just know, and Sheryl and Michael were the ultimate winners here with a great image capturing the whole family.

As most of our clients already know, Joe and I are a bit competitive. And by “a bit” I mean very! We are always on the hunt for an image the other will have to admit is great. It’s a healthy competition and I really love it when Joe comes up with something like the image of Erin and Kevin below. Plus, he placed in my favorite contest category, All About Light!
